DESERT EXPERIENCES    HALF DAY ATV DUBAI DESERT EXPLORATION

After a full safety and ATV handling briefing, get set to ride out on the powerful, fully automatic ATVs to take in some of the roughest and most dramatic terrain in the UAE. We will ride east to the Fossil rock en-route passing through traditional villages and camel farms taking in a brief photo-stop.

As we go riding deeper into the Dubai desert participants will encounter soft sand, medium size dunes and then the big dunes which will test your endurance and riding skills in a tug of war between riders and nature with the sand, dunes and the rough terrain. Our off-road desert exploration ride will take us over ridges and slip faces – downhill side of the sand dunes as dunes are in continuous formation from west to east with ‘Sabkhas’ – flatland between the dunes found in between all dune formations. The area is a photo enthusiast’s delight and one can also see camels feeding on the sparse desert vegetation. Observe the changing hues of the Dubai desert and colors of sand from beige to dark red as we proceed from west to east. The dune formations also become more complex as compared to the earlier continuous dune formations.

Roar ahead on the ATV’s towards ‘Jebel Maleihah’ also popularly known as the ‘Fossil Rock’, an inspiring monolith embedded with fossils, was once under the sea, has remains of evidence of once living organisms preserved to varying degrees of completeness and some fossils are believed to be as ancient as 80 million years old. We will climb over Fossil Rock from the west side and go down the longest slip face in the area. Refreshments and snack stop will be taken here and riders can take in the panoramic views from the top. Later we will proceed via few unnamed rock formations to the ‘Camel Rock’ area where riders can observe the bizarre rock formations before riding back from the power line maintenance track back to Al Awir.

Safety Features:
This extreme adventure trip involves off- road desert ATV riding in the Dubai desert. Experienced and professional ATV off-road guide will lead the ATV exploration convoy in the Dubai desert. Safety equipment provided is listed under inclusions mentioned above and back-up SUV also carries First –aid box and refreshment supplies required for the trip

You Need To Know
	Guests should have prior off-road riding experience of ATV or Motorbikes
	You must be in reasonably good health and fitness for partaking in this extreme off-road adventure
	Short breaks will be taken every 30-40 minutes during the adventure trip
	Confirmation will be received at time of making the booking
	Pregnant ladies, People with back problems and medical history and senior citizens with heart conditions not allowed
	Disclaimer form against damage and personal injury is required to be signed before the commencement of the trip
	This is a guided Dubai desert exploration tour and not a racing session

Dress-Code:
Dress comfortably in loose fitting clothes. Long trousers are best with sneakers or trainers. We suggest you bring a spare set of clothes and a towel as you might wish to change clothes after the experience. Applying good quality sunscreen especially in summers is recommended.

Photography:
Normal tourist photography is acceptable, but it is considered offensive to photograph Arab women. It is also courteous to ask permission before photographing men. Photographs of government buildings or military installations are not allowed.
