The Experience:
Enjoy
an early morning drive to Khasab visa Ras Al Khaimah. After crossing the
UAE-Oman border, the curvy, scenic coastal route flanked by beautiful
mountain scenery on one side and panoramic sea vistas on the other side,
snakes and winds its way to the Khasab harbor - a sure pointer to the
delightful day out ahead in Khasab.
Board a traditional
Omani wooden dhow for a leisurely, day dhow trip from the harbor in Khasab.
The picturesque capital of Musandam is a natural scenery superstar and
nurtures the famous fjords of Arabia, previously home to ancient mariners,
was a colonial outpost once and now beneath the craggy, towering limestone
cliffs, the still waters are home to wild Dolphins and turtles. We will
cruise to the spectacular and tranquil Khor Ash Sham, a sheltered, 17 Km.
long fjord as this beautiful inlet has Bedouin villages with stone houses
- Nadifi, Qanaha, Maqlab and the historic Telegraph Island - named so, as
it was a telegraph relay station in the 19th century that linked London
to Iraq’s southern city of Basra and onwards to Bombay. Treat
yourself to swimming and snorkeling in its crystal clear and calm waters.
Watch out for variety of fish-life and coral growth is among the best in
this fjord. There are almost always dolphins playing in these waters and
following the dhow as it cruises around the villages and can delight lucky
visitors with displays of aerial acrobatics. Seebi, a secluded village
located at the end of the fjord abounds with many species of sea birds
nestling in its cliffs and you can take a plunge in its clear waters. We
turn back from Sham and head back to Khasab. Refreshments and lunch served
on board.
Evening check-in to Golden Tulip hotel in Khasab for a comfortable
overnight in their elegantly furnished rooms. On day 02 morning, after
breakfast you can enjoy the pool and other facilities of the Golden Tulip

hours) we will pick-you up from the hotel lobby for the drop back to Dubai
